This is the story of Alfie and Fideo, lifelong friends. Their lives are very different: one lives apart, has a son he barely sees and avoids any kind of romantic commitment. Fideo is a psychiatrist who is very conservative in his habits and has been married for more than twenty-five years. But his life takes an unexpected turn.

After separating from his wife, Fideo turns to Alfie for comfort. To help him, a friend devises a plan for him to meet women who will help him overcome melancholy and depression. Thus, through their particular ideas about life and love, four real women and one virtual woman will help him discover the central place that womanhood, the feminine, has occupied in his life.
