The La Conquesta del Pol Sud collective was born in 2010 as documentary theatre that accompanies its performances with powerful audiovisual components. It has now joined forces with Teatro España, La Villaroel and the Barcelona Greek Festival to tell the story of a journey to the origins of the Brazilian Amazon. They will travel from Madrid directly to the jungle, where they will confront the struggles of Amazonian communities that want to be heard. There is a struggle over the exploitation of natural resources, and the advantage is not on the communities’ side. The show is conceived as a stage poem about the relationship between nature and humankind. Music and dance, philosophy and tradition will come together on stage..
