In the Malasaña neighbourhood is Tablao Ópera Flamenca. It is an intimate space dedicated to flamenco, where a programme of live performances is presented every night under the direction of Salvador Barrull.
The venue is decorated with references to Andalusian tradition. The wood, dim lighting and details in the style of Jerez taverns create the feeling of a small establishment, where the stage is always close by. Spanish wines and traditional dishes are served here.
The programme combines dance, singing, guitar, violin and percussion. The numbers follow one another, showing the different moods of flamenco, from the calmest to the most intense and vibrant.
