The Franco-Canadian company Cirque Le Roux will present a show that combines circus acts, cinema and acrobatics. The show tells stories across three eras: 1870, 1960 and 2022, and shows how events from the past continue to influence people’s lives today.
The work focuses on the fates of three characters whose stories intertwine through revolutions, struggles for freedom and social divisions. The artists revive forgotten stories and give a voice to those who have traditionally been ignored, creating a dramatic and visually striking tableau.
Eight artists perform on stage, using unconventional circus techniques, cinematic installations and elements of comedy. Cirque Le Roux was founded in 2014 by four experienced circus artists who previously worked with international companies.
