«Enlightenment» show

A light and music show begins on 25 January in the secluded Friedenskirche church. It will be more than a concert: the audience will immerse itself in one of the great compositions in the history of classical music, Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons.

The project, entitled «Enlightenment», combines Baroque music with modern projection technology to create a striking atmosphere within Madrid’s German-speaking evangelical community. The show marks a milestone in the interaction between classical music and contemporary art. On this occasion, the public is offered a journey through an imaginary cycle of nature inspired by Vivaldi’s famous work.

The central idea of the show is to combine Baroque harmony with modern visual technologies. Music created in the 18th century comes to life through the most modern audiovisual media, which not only reflect the cycle of nature, but also add a deeper philosophical dimension to it.

The cycle of the seasons is presented in six acts. Each tells a different story, from the awakening of nature in spring to the spiritual reflections of the fifth and sixth acts: Samsara and Nirvana.

This show is not only a concert, but a true journey through the seasons and beyond, where art, light and sound come together in delightful harmony.
