From 18 to 21 September 2025, Teatros del Canal (Madrid) will be the setting for a production combining provocation, mysticism and music: «El teatro del mundo», a new approach to Calderón de la Barca's auto sacramental, created by the Madrid company For the Fun of It on its tenth anniversary.

The show offers the audience a sonic and visual journey that brings the essence of the Golden Age to contemporary sensibility. With a repertoire ranging from Renaissance polyphonies to liturgical chants and Baroque melodies, the work recovers Calderón's spiritual dimension and turns it into an immersive experience in which music and text merge in a single pulse.
The company, known for its ability to transform classics into daring, contemporary proposals, reclaims with this staging a philosophical and profoundly human Calderón. El teatro del mundo invites reflection on life as performance and on the role each person plays in it, thus recovering the festive and reflective spirit of the old autos sacramentales and projecting it into dialogue with the present.
