Until 26 January, the Teatro Pavón presents the premiere of ‘El jefe del jefe’, a mad office comedy by Lars von Trier, directed by Argentine Ricardo Hornos. The production, inspired by the 2006 film of the same name, mocks the insensitivity of large corporations and the absurdity of business relationships.
The plot revolves around the office of a company that is about to be sold. The buyers demand a meeting with the director, but he does not exist: he is a fictional character created by the owner to justify difficult decisions. To maintain the illusion, an actor is hired, but he goes beyond the role, turning corporate drama into an absurd farce.
‘El jefe del jefe’ is an ingenious look at the business world that will offer audiences a combination of satire and brilliant humour.
