Show ‘El hijo de la cómica’

At the Teatro Bellas Artes, José Sacristán takes to the stage with a monologue about Fernando Fernán Gómez, actor, director and writer. Performances will take place from 29 April to 28 June.

The work is structured as an account based on memories and personal conversations. Sacristán returns to the years when he lived alongside Fernando Fernán Gómez and, little by little, reconstructs his portrait through stories and specific details.

Through the memories emerge figures from his family and childhood: the great-grandmother from Valdelaguna, the seamstress who cared for him in his early years, and other people who left their mark on his life. These strands intertwine with Sacristán's own experience and merge into a single narrative.

Within it resonate literary echoes of Baroja, Galdós and Barea, which become part of the protagonist's inner world. Little by little, the work becomes a story of memory, in which different voices come together in a single account.
