«El Gran Show» show
The Soho Club Teatro stage will host a musical show made up of recognisable scenes and melodies from Broadway and London musicals.
About this event
On 26 June, «El Gran Show» will take place, a production by the Musical de Sueños company in which various episodes of musical theatre intertwine to form a single stage action. There is no complete plot here in the classical sense: the show progresses through independent numbers that follow one another according to rhythm and mood, from energetic dance scenes to quieter vocal moments.
The foundation consists of live voices, choreography and performance. Director Andrea Scarpino is responsible for the staging, while choreographer Richy Rodríguez Ferrer takes charge of the choreographic element. On stage is a cast of eight young artists who guide the audience through different moods and musical genres over a single evening.
El Gran Show is conceived as a gentle introduction to musical theatre: without a complex framework, through movement, sound and the genre’s familiar intonations.
