Teatro Infanta Isabel has prepared a Christmas gift for family audiences: from 23 December to 5 January, an evocative puppet show based on Oscar Wilde's tale The Selfish Giant will be performed.
At the heart of the story are the noisy, cheerful elves, for whom any excuse becomes a celebration: carnivals, dances and banquets are lived joyfully. Their neighbour, the Giant, is very different: he does not like music or laughter, and Christmas seems like a punishment to him.
But one day, something happens in his quiet, cold world that can melt even a heart of stone and remind everyone that New Year miracles have room for all.
