“El Alma al Aire”, the musical
There are songs that become part of the memory of several generations. “El Alma al Aire” is born from this idea: turning Alejandro Sanz’s musical universe into a story able to move people beyond stages and records. Stage Entertainment España’s new production transforms some of the artist’s most emblematic songs into the thread running through a major contemporary musical.
About this event
The action takes place in a small fishing town where life seems to move to the rhythm of the tides. Ale, a young musician, lives there and sees how the arrival of Alma, a property developer from Madrid, changes the balance of a community marked by affection, memories and pending decisions. From that encounter, different generations are forced to reconsider who they are, what they want to preserve and where they want to go.
Far from creating a simple sequence of musical hits, the work interweaves songs such as Corazón Partío, Amiga Mía, Cuando Nadie Me Ve and No Es Lo Mismo into a choral narrative where human bonds occupy centre stage.
With a libretto by Álvaro Tato and the support of Alejandro Sanz himself, the show combines everyday realism and elements of magical realism in a large-format staging. “El Alma al Aire” thus offers an emotional journey where music works as shared memory and every song finds a new way of being heard.
