Until 9 November, at the Nave 10 Matadero space, it is possible to see «Eclipse» again, a staged lecture by Argentine actor and artist Matías Umpiérrez about the nature of masks and the faces hidden behind them.
The staging combines theatre, performance and philosophy, turning the history of masks —from ritual and funerary ones to digital ones— into a fascinating reflection on who we choose to be. Two characters appear on stage: a masked man and his double, like the moon and the sun, symbols of duality and inner conflict.
Eclipse explores the mask as a form of protection, power and play with identity. Live energy, visual poetry and a touch of magic turn the work into a genuine journey into the world of mysteries and metamorphoses.
