Show «Don Quijote. Loco soy y loco he de ser»

In Madrid, «Don Quijote» is reinterpreted as if this story were being told for the first time. On stage appears not so much the legendary knight as a man tired of the silence of his own life, who one day decides to cross his own limits.

His journey alongside Sancho Panza gradually loses its character as an adventure and becomes an inner journey, where what matters is not victories but attempts to understand oneself. The world around him is in no hurry to adapt to dreams, and it is precisely in that clash that the work’s main tension arises. Dulcinea appears here as a guiding voice, keeping him from straying from the path and bringing dispersed meanings together in a single impulse.

This version of the classic work does not argue with the original, but seems to bring it closer to the audience, leaving room for personal questions. The play can be seen at Teatro de las Aguas.
