Performance «Don Juan no existe»

On the stage of the Teatros del Canal, from 6 to 11 May, an audacious reinterpretation of the Don Juan myth is presented, along with an attempt to give voice to forgotten women artists whose names appear only in Wikipedia entries.

At the beginning of the 20th century, Countess Carmen Díaz de Mendoza Aguado, inspired by the work Don Juan, decides to write her own version of the story. But her creative impulse meets voices of doubt, both foreign and domestic. The work fails and her name falls into oblivion.

One hundred years later, a new author finds traces of her unfinished opera. All that remains of the text are newspaper clippings; everything else must be composed anew. Thus begins a story in which fiction saves reality.
