Eight years have passed since the tragic death of Adela, Bernarda Alba's youngest daughter, and the family's secrets are beginning to come to light. The play “Bernarda y Poncia”, which immerses you in the dark atmosphere of the period, will be staged until 16 February in the Sala Lola Membrives at Teatro Lara.
The dramedy, composed with elements of prose and poetic language, reveals the events of a twelve-hour summer day, from sunrise to sunset. The play explores deep emotional conflicts, touching several generations, from the young to the elderly. It answers many questions that long remained unanswered: what happened to Bernarda Alba's other daughters? What is the relationship with Poncia? And how do Bernarda and Poncia really feel?
