Pablo Remón show “Barbados in 2022”
Two actors tell the story of a couple, with humour, joy, fiction and contradictions. Sometimes they play together, sometimes they argue and sometimes they seem like a very different couple.

The play Barbados is a living story that playwright Pablo Remón rewrites every five years since its premiere in 2017. The new version is performed, as before, by Fernanda Orazi and Emilio Tomé, but as Heraclitus said, “you cannot step into the same river twice.”
For Remon, it is an experiment that allows the play to remain alive. The protagonist here is the words that create images, situations and reality itself. The couple’s story is not a static text, but a changing current of memories that sounds new each time.
How can the connection be maintained if each person’s past is different? “Barbados” is an attempt to understand how couples build their “union” despite the vagueness of memories and the volatility of emotions.
