«Aromas de soledad» show

From 20 November, in the Hardiel Poncela Hall of the Fernán Gómez Cultural Centre, audiences will be able to enjoy the work directed by Ana Contreras, based on the text by Raúl Losánez from poems by José María Gabriel y Galán. The staging pays homage to «Empty Spain» and life in the countryside, turning poetry into a theatrical journey through the everyday life of rural areas.

At the centre of the plot are images of ordinary people, their work, their celebrations, their rituals and their inner harmony with nature. The work shows how love for the land, family ties and spiritual values form the basis of peasants’ lives, while also reflecting the current problem of abandoned villages and the decline in the rural population.
