“After Kiki” show
Madrid’s alternative theatre scene adds a new title to its programme with “After Kiki”, an irreverent romantic comedy staged at La Escalera de Jacob. The one-hour play offers a journey full of humour, excesses and unexpected twists that will put friendship, love and the responsibilities of adult life to the test.
About this event
The plot begins at a fancy-dress party that gets out of hand amid drinks, confidences and something more. What seemed like an ordinary night becomes a point of no return for Raúl and Begoña, two lifelong friends whose routine is turned completely upside down. From that moment on, they will have to face a life dilemma: are they capable of swapping beers for nappies and starting a family when they seem to have nothing in common?
With a cheeky, relatable tone, “After Kiki” combines the lightness of comedy with situations that invite reflection on relationships, maturity and the decisions that mark a before and after. In addition, the audience can enjoy the show with a drink in hand, creating a relaxed, complicit atmosphere in the very heart of Lavapiés.
Tickets are now available for different dates and times, but it is advisable to arrive on time: once the performance has started, entry to the auditorium is not permitted.
