The play “Los pinceles borrados” is performed at Teatro Lara, an imagined dialogue between two 20th-century artists, Frida Kahlo and Remedios Varo, united in life by art and the experience of exile, but separated by completely different destinies.
According to the plot, restless Remedios summons Frida to understand the secret of recognition, that spark that turns an artist into a legend. The conversation becomes increasingly personal: the protagonists reveal their wounds, secret desires and contradictions, while surreal images and memories create a space where reality intermingles with magic.
Through the personal story of these two women, the play raises a broader question: who decides which names remain in art history and which disappear from it?
