“Gag Movie” by Yllana

Four film characters find themselves trapped in a single frame, unable to move their story forward. In the family show “Gag Movie”, the audience helps set them free: as soon as the call “Lights! Camera! Action!” rings out, the frozen image bursts into a theatrical adventure.

Once on stage, the characters take the audience through some of cinema’s most iconic moments and reveal how a film is made. The explanations quickly give way to visual humour, and the filming itself turns into a comedy. The theatre borrows cinematic techniques to invent its own tricks.
