In the intimate, circular ring of Teatro Circo Price, with seating for just 162 people, you can see the show «Décrochez-moi-ça» by the French company Bêtes de Foire. It's a blend of circus, visual theatre, live music, and object theatre, making it hard to define the show in just one word.
The performers act almost entirely without words. A hat appears to come to life and starts to control a person on its own. Piles of coats rise into the air. Fabrics unfold as if they follow no logic. Bodies float and sway above the ring, defying gravity. All of this is accompanied by live music—violins, guitars, keyboards, percussion, and unexpected instruments—which becomes another main character in the story, sometimes festive and sometimes slightly melancholic.
The company was founded by circus artist Laurent Cabrol, a student of Annie Fratellini and a member of the companies Convoi Exceptionnel y Cirque Trottola, and by costume designer Elsa De Witte, who comes from street theatre.
