“Tapa Route Bernabéu Area” Festival
Next to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, a food route appears for a few days in which the usual bars become stops on a major tasting route: the Tapa Route Bernabéu Area.
About this event
The area around the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium becomes, for a few days, the food route called the “Tapa Route Bernabéu Area”, where 37 venues in the Chamartín district offer their versions of tapas.
The format is the same everywhere. For 5 euros, the customer receives a signature tapa and a glass of Mahou beer. The project includes venues inside the Bernabéu Market as well as bars and restaurants in neighbouring streets, turning the route into a complete urban network.
The menu is based on a combination of local cuisine and flavours from different regions of Spain. It includes Santoña anchovies, San Sebastián-style appetisers, brioches with sobrasada, honey and Mahón cheese, rice with the Albufera designation of origin and mini sandwiches with lacón. Classic dishes then appear, such as ham, torreznos, tortilla, chistorra, gildas and cheeses.
A total of 37 tapas are presented, each linked to a particular venue and its way of serving it. All information can be obtained via the QR codes on the route posters.
