«Pinta Malasaña 2026» Festival
Pinta Malasaña returns urban art to the city’s everyday rhythm: artists create their works simultaneously at different points around the neighbourhood.

On 26 April, Malasaña will once again become, for one day, an open-air urban art workshop. The Pinta Malasaña festival returns artists to the urban space, where works emerge directly on the neighbourhood’s façades, shop windows and walls.
The project celebrates its eleventh edition and brings together around one hundred artists, selected through an open competition. Each of them has a space provided by businesses, associations and residents to create a work in the real urban environment.
The festival is organised by Somos Malasaña and Madrid Street Art Project, with the support of centro Condeduque and the district Centro municipal administration. Cultural, educational and municipal partners also join the initiative.
Throughout the day, the neighbourhood functions differently: artists create their works under the gaze of passers-by, and residents can observe the process, take part in the activities and vote for the projects they like most.
