“OpenSky Alcobendas” festival

From 3 to 5 July, Parque de Andalucía de Alcobendas will become one of the summer's major music venues with the arrival of OpenSky, a festival bringing together artists of different styles over three outdoor days designed for enjoying music under the city's sky.

The programme will begin on 3 July with a night devoted to Spanish pop-rock and indie. Pignoise will headline a bill completed by Besmaya, Hey Kid and Vera Fauna, while DJs Barce and Jorge Vaquero will keep the beat going once the concerts have finished.

On 4 July, Taburete, one of the best-known groups on the current scene, will take over. They will be joined by Paula Mattheus, Inazio and Avenida, in a day combining new voices with established names. After the live performances, sets by Juan Valiente and Jorge Vaquero will extend the celebration until the early hours.

The final day will offer a change of pace with Ara Malikian. The acclaimed violinist will close the festival with a show of great artistic sensitivity, where the music, staging and closeness to the audience will create an atmosphere very different from that of the previous nights.

OpenSky was created as a proposal combining musical diversity, an outdoor setting and different experiences each day, turning Alcobendas into a meeting point for those seeking to enjoy live music during the first weeks of summer.
