«Mr. Gay Pride Spain 2026» competition

On 3 July, the Plaza de España stage will bring together 14 finalists from different autonomous communities. Throughout the evening, they will not only compete for the title, but will also take part in a gala featuring performances by national and international artists.

The Mr. Gay España competition is celebrating its 19th edition this year and continues to be one of the most prominent events of Madrid Pride. Its participants represent different autonomous communities across the country, and the winner will earn the right to represent Spain in international competitions.

Every year, the organisation also promotes social campaigns. Among them are #STOPLGTBIFOBIA, aimed at combating hate crimes, and #HAZTEVISIBLEENELTRABAJO, which promotes greater visibility for the LGTBIQ+ community in the workplace.

The 2026 final will feature 14 contestants whose personal stories reflect the diversity of experiences within the LGTBIQ+ community in different cities and regions of Spain. For the first time, a contestant from Romania will be among the finalists, drawing attention to the situation of LGTBIQ+ people in that country and in other regions of Eastern Europe, where defending equality and rights remains a major challenge.

The gala will also feature performances by Roi Porto, Natalia, Roser, Nacho Nacif, Izan Llunas, Rebecca, Asha, Suri, Loic & Mario, Mirela, Lucía La Puerta, Soraya, María Peláe and VICCO, turning the night into a great celebration of music and diversity.
