“OMODA Madrid es Moda” festival

From 7 to 10 September, “Madrid es Moda” will be held in Madrid, an event that traditionally marks the start of Fashion Week in the Spanish capital. This year, the organising body, the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), has chosen “Returning to the origins” as the event's motto. Ten years after the initiative was created, the focus once again turns to the designers, those behind every collection and every fashion show.

The programme will bring together 12 fashion shows featuring more than twenty Spanish brands, including Ángel Schlesser, Roberto Verino, María Lafuente, Pilar Dalbat, Oteyza and Roberto Torretta. Special mention should be made of the premiere of the first Dolores Promesas x Duyos collection, the presentation of the collaboration between Daniel Chong and Eduardo Navarrete, and the fashion show commemorating the forty-year creative career of the Devota & Lomba brand.

The fashion shows will not be held in a single venue but spread across the city. La Nave, Hotel Wellington, the Museo de Historia de Madrid and the cloister of the Instituto de San Isidro will be the chosen settings.

The initiative emerged in 2015 with the idea of bringing designer fashion closer to the city and its inhabitants, and today forms part of the municipal programme “Madrid Capital de la Moda”.
