Festival “La Ruta de la Cuchara”
In Majadahonda, dozens of venues will focus for ten days on a single format, offering diners portions of traditional stews at a fixed price of 3.80 euros.
About this event
Until 28 February, the city is celebrating the 4th Spoon Route, an initiative that brings together bars and restaurants around the dishes most representative of winter cuisine. Chickpeas, large white beans, lentils, stewed potatoes and meat recipes define a proposal that invites visitors to explore different establishments and discover each kitchen's own versions.
The participating restaurants and their dishes are:
Contraste: red curry with free-range chicken thighs
Rocka Rolla: homemade cocido stew
Mesón Ousá: potato stew with octopus
As de Bastos: La Granja large white beans
Rafaela: chickpeas with cuttlefish
Jardín de la Flaca: La Granja large white beans with pig's ear
DetapasbaR: country-style large white beans with mushrooms
Tasquiña de Adri: seafood chickpea stew
Asentida: stewed lentils with chorizo
Bar Rodax: chickpeas with king prawns
Taberna Gabriela: verdinas beans with baby squid and large prawns
The route forms part of the municipal strategy to support local hospitality businesses and joins other gastronomic initiatives also held in towns in the region, such as Móstoles.
