“IlustraweekMadrid” festival

IlustraWeekMadrid is being held in the city for the second time, bringing together illustration in its many forms, from graffiti and tattoos to comics, posters and scientific visualisation. From 15 April to 3 May, Madrid becomes a network of places where images become a way of engaging in dialogue with the city.

The programme includes more than 60 events and almost one hundred participants, spread across nearly fifty venues. The main locations include Ateneo de Madrid, UDIT, Espacio Cultural Serrería Belga and Museo ABC, joined by an urban route with events in different neighbourhoods.

Key projects include the exhibition “Icónica Madrid” at Serrería Belga, where familiar images of the city receive a new visual interpretation. At the same time, Ilustrafest is held, an illustration fair based at UDIT that brings together professionals, students and independent authors.
