‘Revolution´65’ Festival

This summer, Teatro Real will once again become a stage for contemporary music. From 25 to 30 July, the Madrid theatre will host the second edition of Revolution’65, a series that will bring together some of the most outstanding artists on the international scene in six consecutive concerts.

This year's line-up includes Portuguese fado singer Carminho, British band The Divine Comedy, Spanish group Love of Lesbian, singer Ana Torroja, Swedish composer José González and singer-songwriter Valeria Castro. Each will present their own repertoire in a programme spanning styles such as fado, indie, pop and singer-songwriter music.

The festival takes 1965 as its starting point, considered a decisive moment for popular music, when songs began to become a tool for social and cultural expression. In addition, for the second consecutive year, the event will allocate one euro from every ticket sold to Fundación migranodearena.
