Re-Chulos Fashion Show

On 16 May, in the Las Vistillas gardens in Madrid, the city's traditional image will be shown through fashion, but not from a catwalk in the usual sense: through recycled garments and new interpretations of Castilian dress.

The RE-CHULOS project will bring together participants who, following a workshop, will present their own versions of traditional Madrid dress, created from reused fabrics. The project's idea is to show how clothing can change form and meaning without losing its link to urban culture.

The fashion show involves the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España and combines fashion, craftsmanship and urban tradition. A professional jury will assess the participants' work.

On the same day, a clothing collection will take place at Las Vistillas in collaboration with Cáritas's Moda re- initiative, devoted to recycling and reusing garments.
