Festival «Summer Film Circuit»

Summer nights are once again filled with open-air films with the 27th Community of Madrid Summer Film Circuit, a programme that turns squares, parks and municipal spaces in different towns across the region into cinemas under the open sky.

Until 29 August, dozens of municipalities will host free or open-access screenings with a programme designed for audiences of all ages. An opportunity to enjoy cinema in a different way and discover new places without leaving Madrid.

This summer's programme brings together major recent productions, family cinema and some Spanish and international offerings. Titles included are:

Lilo & Stitch

Jurassic World: Rebirth

Mufasa, the Lion King

The Footballest 2: The Mystery of the Pirate Treasure

Paddington: Adventure in the Jungle

The Big House

The programme also includes films such as Deaf, A Complete Unknown, The Dinner and Rondallas, broadening the offering with stories for viewers with different tastes.

The Summer Film Circuit will reach towns such as Chinchón, Rascafría, Hoyo de Manzanares, Moralzarzal, Miraflores de la Sierra, Colmenar de Oreja, San Martín de Valdeiglesias, Guadalix de la Sierra and El Boalo, among many others.

Each municipality will have its own dates, times and screening venues, usually at dusk, when temperatures fall and the streets become the perfect setting for a film screening.

The series forms part of the Escenas de Verano programme, the Community of Madrid's cultural initiative that brings music, theatre, dance, circus and cinema performances to every corner of the region during the summer months.
