Chinese Cinema Series 2026

The Centro de Cultura China launches a series of free screenings bringing together contemporary Chinese cinema in five different stories, from documentary to animation and sports drama. The screenings will be preceded by a separate opening session.

The programme includes films from various genres, prepared in collaboration with the Archivo Cinematográfico de China. All will be screened in their original version with Spanish subtitles.

The series opens with «Yolo», by Jia Ling, a story about changes in life through boxing. Next on the programme are «Never Say Never», based on real events; the animated film «Chang’an»; the documentary about Tibet’s wild nature «The Snow Leopard and Its Friends»; and the youth film «Unique and Irreplaceable», about dance and personal growth.
