Workshop ‘Shodō (Japanese calligraphy)’

Japan is proud of its calligraphy, one of its many distinctive features. Master Eiko Kishi will tell you about this art, its history and its particularities. There are three types of writing in the Japanese language, and the masterclass will cover all of them in detail. Students will be able to practise calligraphic elements and the teacher will guide them.

Eiko Kishi is a teacher, holds a degree in psychology and a master’s degree in this discipline. She also practises other traditional arts, such as the tea ceremony and playing the koto, a Japanese musical instrument. Her kimono and origami demonstrations stand out. She is also one of the founders of the Asociación Española de Ikebana and the Castellana Internacional de Ikebana de España.
