In Madrid, the circus will prompt a conversation about women who enter the ring not only with an act, but also with their own viewpoint. The «Women and circus» gathering will combine research and personal stories to offer a new perspective on a space where the stage, profession and identity are especially closely intertwined.

Teatro Circo Price will host the «Women and circus» gathering, devoted to how women are reinterpreting the circus space and their place within it. The conversation will begin with a talk on the circus as a social and cultural phenomenon and will then move on to a live dialogue with those who know the ring from within.
Researcher Francesca Aloi, internationally acclaimed artist Graziella Galán and Marietta Tonetti, who grew up in a family of circus artists, will share their personal and professional experiences. Their stories combine the academic perspective, stage practice and the memory of a tradition in which women long ago ceased to be mere background and became independent figures in the action.
