«Miguitas» series of free guided walks around Arganzuela

Among old factories, railway tracks and neighbourhoods that grew up around industry, Arganzuela holds a story worth telling. The «Miguitas» project proposes exploring it step by step through free guided tours that make it possible to understand how this Madrid district has been transformed from the 19th century to the present day.

For approximately two hours, attendees walk from the El Águila Cultural Complex (c/ Ramírez de Prado, 3) to key sites such as Delicias and Atocha stations, the historic El Águila brewery and today's Matadero Madrid. Along the way, they address episodes such as the arrival of the railway, industrial growth, the emergence of workers' housing estates and neighbourhood and labour struggles, with figures and movements that shaped the district's identity taking centre stage.

The routes, held every weekend until 30 November, offer three different options for adult audiences. The next date to book a place is 19 August at 10:00. An opportunity to rediscover Arganzuela through its industrial footprint, its social fabric and the living memory of its streets.
