Workshop “The imprint of women. Creating an album as a family”

On 7 March, Museo Cerralbo will host a special gathering dedicated to Women’s Month. Instead of lectures and solemn speeches, there will be a lively conversation about memory, family and those people whose stories usually remain out of the spotlight.

The museum invites people to take part in an intergenerational workshop in which attendees, together with their loved ones, will create a personal album dedicated to the women in their family. Photographs, old tickets, letters, recipes, postcards… any detail that reveals cherished personalities, paths and memories will be used. From these fragments, a handcrafted chronicle will be made using paper, stamps, ribbons and other elements of scrapbooking technique.

The organisers ask participants to bring printed photographs and objects of sentimental value related to mothers, grandmothers, aunts and other protagonists of family history.
