Fundación Padre Arrupe. Zarzuela in Concert
A zarzuela will be presented in the Sala Sinfónica del Centro Nacional de Auditorios de Música de Madrid as a benefit concert, bringing the stage and the social project together in one programme.
About this event
On 16 May, a concert devoted to zarzuela will take place in the Sala Sinfónica del Centro Nacional de Auditorios de Música de Madrid. The programme includes emblematic works of this genre, which combines music and theatre and is an important part of Spanish cultural tradition. The event is organised with the support of Fundación Padre Arrupe, and the funds raised will go towards the education of children in El Salvador.
Silvia Sans will conduct the orchestra. Orquesta Metropolitana de Madrid, the Talía Mini choir and the Talía choir will perform. Tenor Miguel Borrallo, soprano Mar Morán, the Sara Martín dance company (Spanish dance and flamenco) and Salvadoran tenor Napoleón Domínguez will also take part.
Fundación Padre Arrupe has spent more than 30 years developing educational projects for children and adolescents, helping them access education and development opportunities.
The initiative can be supported through the foundation’s website, by bank transfer or Bizum. «Fila 0» is also available for donations without attending the concert.
