«Nuestro Madrid» concert by the Municipal Symphonic Band
Plaza Mayor will become the stage for a colourful musical declaration of love for the city: the «Nuestro Madrid» concert, performed by the Municipal Symphony Orchestra.
About this event
On 14 May, the heart of Madrid, Plaza Mayor, will become an open-air stage. As part of the San Isidro festivities, the Municipal Symphony Orchestra will present Nuestro Madrid, a musical declaration of love for the capital.
Under the direction of maestro Jan Kober, legendary melodies that capture the spirit of the city will be performed, from the cheerful «La chica del 17» to the theatrical «La Gran Vía» and the iconic «Madrid, Madrid, Madrid». The atmosphere will be complemented by live voices: the sopranos María Rodríguez and Ana San Martín, the tenor Alberto Porcel and the baritone Gerardo Bullón.
Flowers, chotis, coplas and a symphony with an urban soul: all in one night, in one place and on one note.
