The American trio Nation of Language revives the magic of the 1980s: synthesizers, neon and the romance of retrofuturism.
The group was born in New York in 2016, when vocalist Ian Devaney decided to swap guitar for keyboard and create his own synth-pop project. Since then, its music has been a journey through time between the past and the future.
You can hear Nation of Language live on 27 November at La Riviera. The concert is part of the Primavera Tours series, which offers the Primavera Sound festival atmosphere throughout the year.
