‘Mecano Symphonic’ concert

From 9 to 26 July, Teatro Calderón will host Mecano Symphonic, a musical show devoted to one of the most emblematic Spanish pop bands. Instead of a classic tribute, audiences will be able to rediscover its greatest hits in a format combining a symphony orchestra, a live band and contemporary electronic arrangements.
Nineteen musicians and three vocalists will perform on stage. The proposal is completed by carefully designed lighting and synchronised video projections, transforming the concert into an audiovisual experience.
The project's creators do not seek to reproduce Mecano's performances. Their aim is to retain the emotion and power of its songs, presenting them with a current sound and new staging. The show is designed both for those who grew up with the group's music and for those encountering it for the first time.
