MC2 Músicas at CentroCentro

CentroCentro offers a new musical programme devoted to medieval music inspired by Paris and Madrid. It consists of four cycles of different styles. More than 50 artists will perform experimental, Baroque and Renaissance music.

Schola Antiqua will open the programme with songs from the 6th to the 14th centuries, and listeners will also be able to hear examples of Spanish Renaissance vocal and instrumental music performed by Camerata Iberia. The programme will close with the Ars Atlántica ensemble performing 18th-century French songs and dances.

The programme's second cycle focuses on tradition and modernity and their close relationship. Guest performers will include Carme López, Adrián de Alfonso, Pankisi Ensemble and the Tarta Relena duo. They will perform traditional music, vocal polyphonies, free jazz and boleros.

Listeners will also be able to reinterpret the sounds of the first decades of the 20th century and new styles such as copla or jazz. It will be a true experiment with sounds and the complex creations of great musicians.
