On those Fridays, Matadero becomes a dancefloor the size of a planet, where bass from Latin America meets the rhythms of Seoul and Uganda’s electronic underground.
About this event
Until 13 June, Matadero Madrid becomes a musical map of the planet. Every Friday night, the Nave 17 and Nave Una spaces will be devoted to a global musical trend, from afroelectronic music to K-pop, from Latin American rap to urban beat.
Matadero Multipista brings together live music, exploration and socialising. During the day, informal conversations with artists, producers, curators and critics help make sense of musical phenomena outside the Anglophone industry. At night, the stage comes to life with sets by varied DJs representing the new trends and underground scenes of their regions.
Afrofuturism and K-pop, reggaeton and drill, experimental electronic music and streaming-chart hits.
