On 6 May at 20:00, «Los Portugueses: El Chico de la Montaña», a new musical project by Rodrigo Leão, one of the most vibrant and distinctive voices in contemporary Portugal, will premiere in Spain at Sala Verde Teatros del Canal.
This concert is not only the launch of an album, but a sonic journey to the heart of Portuguese identity. Leão combines the power of choral textures, the rhythms of traditional percussion and unexpected collaborations: with opera diva Ana Vieira Leite, virtuoso accordionist Celina da Piedade and dancer/vocalist Viviena Tupikova.
«El Chico de la Montaña» is the composer’s most personal work, inspired by folklore, the solitude of the mountains and voices from the past that sound in the language of the future.
