«La Terraza Magnética 2026. Cartographies of the Night» festival

From late June, the rooftop of La Casa Encendida becomes a place where summer is experienced and enjoyed in a different way. From 26 June to 1 August, La Terraza Magnética takes place here, a series devoted to the theme «Cartographies of the Night». Open-air cinema takes place on Fridays; concerts at sunset on Saturdays. Part of the programme also takes place at Casa San Cristóbal.

The musical evenings are curated by Acacia Ojea. The programme includes Bint Mbareh, with electronic music and the sound memory of the Arab world; Ava Rasti, with atmospheric ambient and drone; cellist Violeta García, who works with improvisation and noise; RenzNiro, from the grime scene; Amanda Mur, with a mixture of folklore and experimentation; as well as Adrasha, who combines club electronics and sounds from the African diaspora.

Friday cinema brings together different states of the night: solitude, desire, memory and change. The line-up includes «Night on Earth», «Portrait of an Alcoholic. One-Way Ticket», «A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night», Angel’s Egg, «Long Day’s Journey into Night» and The African Desperate. Two vampire films have been added at Casa San Cristóbal: «The Little Vampire» and «From Dusk till Dawn».
