Los Amigos Invisibles will perform in Madrid as part of the IBEROEXPERIA series, which brings together artists from Latin America, Spain and Portugal. The concert will take place on 18 June at the La Riviera venue.
The Venezuelan group is known for its unmistakable style, which blends disco, funk, acid jazz and Latin rhythms. Their music sounds equally good in a club and on major stages, and their tracks have long been part of the international music scene.
The songs «Mentiras», «La Que Me Gusta» and «Espérame» made the group known and continue to bring together thousands of listeners around the world. Their international breakthrough came in 1996, when David Byrne noticed the group and invited them to sign with the Luaka Bop label. Later, the album «New Sound of the Venezuelan Gozadera» (1998) was released, cementing their success outside Latin America.
Over more than 30 years, Los Amigos Invisibles have released 10 studio albums and 2 live recordings, won a Latin Grammy and been nominated for Grammy Awards, as well as performing in more than 60 countries.
