About this event
From 2 to 6 April, «Electrónica en Abril» at La Casa Encendida explores the intersection of electronic music with traditional and popular genres. The new curator, Elisa Luengo (Dekmantel), expands the format by inviting experimental artists from around the world.
The festival will be opened by Colin Self with the choral performance GASP! Davuna, Matthew Herbert and Momoko Gill will perform on Friday, followed by Jenny Hval, Carme López and Egyptian experimentalists Abdullah Miniawi and Maurice Luca on Saturday. Sunday will conclude with a family mini-club.
In addition to the concerts, the programme includes workshops, talks and the Room of Villains night party, dedicated to Latin club sound. Electrónica en Abril continues to blur the boundaries between genres and cultures.
