This weekend, X-Madrid will be a paradise for geeks, with lightsaber fights, K-pop dancing, cosplay and intense Rubik’s Cube competitions.
About this event
From 23 to 25 May, X-Madrid will once again be the epicentre of fun, light, fandom and Rubik’s Cubes: the fifth edition of Orgullo Friki will bring together everyone who lives by the laws of the multiverse, from Star Wars fans to K-pop dancers and speedcubers.
The festival will feature lightsaber battles, wand duels, cosplay, geek karaoke and, of course, dancing: where would we go without it? There will already be a K-pop dance competition on Friday, and a spectacular cosplay parade will be held on Saturday.
The most spectacular competition is the Campeonato Nacional de Speedcubing: more than 120 participants, nine types of event and thousands of spinning faces.
The weekend atmosphere will be completed by a concert by the group Gatetemon, meetings with ‘princesses’ and a geek fair with more than 35 participants. Comics, merch, figurines and magic wands: everything your inner alter ego dreams of.
