European Music Day concerts at Matadero

This June, Matadero Madrid celebrates European Music Day with a proposal that goes far beyond concerts. DEMM 2025 brings together electronic sounds, pop, rock and audiovisual experiences designed for every taste over five days.

The musical programme begins on Friday 20 June with a free outdoor night led by Sofía Kourtesis, Moxie, Emilia Grima and a DJ set by Hot Chip. On Saturday 21, from midday, there will be family concerts and a night with bands such as Hinds, La Paloma, Error 97 and Baiuca. On Sunday 22, the Creativa Junior Big Band will take over with a morning performance. Weekend tickets cost €5 and can be booked online.

Cineteca also joins in with screenings that explore the relationship between image and sound, from experimental pieces to sessions curated with the Punto y Raya festival. In addition, on the preceding Fridays, from 23 May to 13 June, there will be free gatherings with DJ sets at Nave Una dedicated to contemporary global sounds such as K-pop, urban music and the new Latin wave.

DEMM 2025 turns Matadero into a crossroads of languages, generations and ways of celebrating music.
