Holy Week concert by the Madrid Municipal Symphonic Band
Music full of history and tradition will once again fill Almudena Cathedral. During Holy Week, the Madrid Municipal Symphony Orchestra will perform classical masterpieces and solemn processional marches, creating an atmosphere of deep spirituality and beauty.
About this event
On 10 April, Almudena Cathedral will be filled with magical sounds with the performance of the Madrid Municipal Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jan Kober, as part of Holy Week.
The programme includes Mozart’s brilliant Sinfonia concertante for wind instruments, K 297b, in which the composer masterfully reveals the sound of each instrument. The second part of the concert is dedicated to traditional processional marches, an important musical tradition of Holy Week in Spain.
