Musical show on the water «Caribe Flotante»
For two days only, music floats on Madrid’s waters. The El Atazar reservoir, in Cervera de Buitrago, becomes the natural stage for «Caribe Flotante», a unique show where a piano sails among Cuban melodies, contemporary dance and unforgettable sunsets.
About this event
Today the 23rd and tomorrow the 24th of July at 20:00, the public will be able to enjoy a different musical experience: an open-air concert where the stage is the water and the protagonist is a floating piano that glides to the rhythm of boleros, sones, chachachás and original compositions. The proposal fuses neoclassical arrangements with traditional Cuban roots, in an intimate and deeply visual format.
The show is artistically directed by Cuban musician Edgar Olivero, accompanied by Asturian dancer Mónica Cofiño, whose dance enters into dialogue with the melodies from the shore. Together they create a staging that moves between live music, bodily movement and the reflection of nature at sunset.
Tickets are available for between 8 and 18 euros, with the box office opening from 19:00. As the reservoir has no seats, it is recommended to bring a cushion, towel or chair, and suitable clothing in case of rain. An ephemeral, delicate and deeply sensory experience that can only be enjoyed today and tomorrow.
